2022 Mind Sports Olympiad, Aug 21 to 29

After 3 years, the MSO is finally back face-to-face. We can’t wait to meet everyone again in real life!

The Mind Sports Olympiad is taking place again face-to-face from August 21 to 29 at JW3 in London (the only exception being Diving Chess which will take place on August 14 at Leonardo Royal Hotel, 45 Prescot Street, London E18GP) featuring over a dozen world championships and more than 60 different tournaments. All events are open to everyone and there are medals and cash prizes to be won. Tournaments range from chess and backgammon to Catan and Carcassonne. There are also mental skills events from Speed Reading and Memory to Mental Calculations and Sudokus. The Mind Sports Olympiad's most prestigious competition is the Pentamind World Championship, which is awarded to the player with the top 5 scores from different disciplines. It is a unique meta-event, which celebrates the best all-around game player in the world. Here's a recent documentary about the Pentamind. Another meta-event that will entice LoBsters is MSO's Eurogames World Championship, where the top 5 Eurogame scores are combined.
